Marc Flood is a Montreal based kart racer who last year (2005) won two prestigious pro championships! The first one being in the Florida Winter Tour’s Pro-Shifter ICC class in the United States and then the second one being in the ICC shifter category for the Coupe du Québec championship in Canada. In 2004 he finished 2nd (vice Champion) in the Coupe du Québec series in the ICC shifter class. Alex Tagliani, Patrick Carpentier, Andrew Ranger, Kevin Lacroix (who finished 1st ahead of Marc in 2004) to name a few, are all ex-alumni of the ICC shifter class and have all gone on to Formula BMW, Formula Atlantic, Champcar or IRL racing as professional formula car drivers. Marc Flood is currently frequently featured in newspaper, magazine and website articles as one of the young “rising stars” emanating out Canada who is headed for future professional racing stardom. This year Marc is focusing on the I.R.L (Indy Racing League) supported “Stars of Karting” series in the United Stated as well as the Coupe du Québec championship. |
